Worcester’s Community First Responders Partnership With Britannia Dynamic Logistics Limited

What do the Community First Responders (CFRs) do?

Worcester's Community First Responders (CFRs) are a group of highly skilled and committed volunteers who are dispatched by the West Midlands Ambulance Service. They provide essential lifesaving treatment and unwavering support in those crucial minutes before the ambulance crew arrives. The CFRs are a force to be reckoned with, working hand in hand with the ambulance crew to ensure the best possible outcome for the patient. They are an indispensable part of the community, making a difference every day.

Initially, Worcester CFRs covered an area of about 4-5 miles around their home or workplace using their own transport. However, over time, each group of CFRs has been given a fully equipped and branded response vehicle, complete with VHF radio and satellite navigation. This has enabled them to cover a much larger area beyond the initial 5-mile radius.

Unfortunately, the Worcester CFRs lost their sponsored vehicle for failing to provide sufficient publicity for their sponsor, leading to the loss of a vital resource for Worcester and surrounding villages.

However, we at Britannia Dynamic Logistics (BDL), stepped in to provide financial support to the Worcester CFRs.

Although a recently established company we have experienced rapid growth since its inception and are now one of the leading logistics companies, not just locally but across the UK as well. This was demonstrated earlier this year when we were awarded the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Small Business Award, which is a great recognition of our hard work.

Despite our success, we still maintain our connections with the local community and support local initiatives whenever possible.

Thanks to our financial support, the Worcester CFRs will be able to resume their operations in responding to Category 1 and 2 emergencies.

This support will greatly benefit the NHS and ambulance service, which are currently under immense strain.
